Xbox and Square Enix announced this sci-fi RPG shooter Riders will be available on Xbox Game Pass for PC and Microsoft Store today.
The game, which originally launched in April, includes full support for Cross Play. This means that you can team up with players from the other versions on console and PC. The companies even confirmed via Xbox Wire that you will be able to transfer progress between the Xbox One and Xbox Series X | S version and this Windows version. However, you cannot transfer the progress to another PC or PlayStation version.
All that being said, Josh wasn’t a huge fan of the game when it launched. He said in his review that “Riders is at its most entertaining – bursts of aerial action, between lulls of loading screens (usually after a server drop) and minutes fumbling around with loot before the next fight. Has time, and a plethora of patches since, made matters better? It’s at least a much cheaper risk for PC gamers to find out now.
Riders is available through the Microsoft Store and for Xbox Game Pass subscribers for PC and Ultimate starting today. Interestingly enough, the Xbox Wire post is also teasing some “exciting updates†to the game soon, so keep an eye out for more.
