The upcoming Microsoft Windows 11 will have many changes, including preinstalled apps that won’t be installed initially / Digital Information World
Tech giant Microsoft will launch the highly anticipated Windows 11 there on October 5, 2021. Initially, the new generation was kept under wraps, but after the news leaked, the company decided to officially confirm it in June.
A lot of new things are to be expected with the new Windows 11, including support for Android applications. The preview version of this operating system has already been released for developers, but the full version will be released in October 2021.
The changes that should accompany this operating system no longer include the availability of pre-installed applications. The operating system will work to conserve more space for their users. That’s why they won’t create other apps like preinstalled games, including Candy Crush or Microsoft To Do, as an already installed app. Instead, they’ll create a shortcut for those apps that will be available on the Start menu. If a user wants to use these apps, they will just click on the app and wait for it to be installed from the Store.
According to Microsoft, these changes will play an important role in saving device storage as well as reducing the time taken by the system to update a device as fewer apps will be updated. It will also reduce the number of background apps, making the device faster. Another measure taken to avoid storage consumption includes adding the Functionality on Demand (FOD) option for WiFi drivers
The visual changes will be the most noticeable changes. The taskbar and the Start menu will no longer be present on the left, they have been moved to the middle of the screen, which makes them easier to access. If the user cannot get along with the taskbar and start menu present in the middle, they can also put them back to their original place. In addition, the new operating system will now be compatible with the Chrome operating system and the Mac operating system.
The Microsoft Store has also been updated. Not only has the design changed, but the way developers receive their payments has also been updated, making it easier to use. Widgets are also back and will now work like macOS widgets. These widgets will include calendar, weather, task list, and more.
Other changes include a simpler way to manage apps by organizing them the way the user wants. They’re also making changes to help the gaming community by bringing a preinstalled Xbox app that can be activated later so the user can access their Xbox library.
October 5, 2021 will be the day when this new operating system debuts and clears any queries users might have after browsing the preview version.
