Microsoft Store Advertising – Gearrice

If a few days ago we told you that Microsoft was adding advertising to Outlook on androidit’s now the Microsoft Store’s turn to the Windows 10 and Windows 11. Those of Redmond want at all costs to strengthen their advertising activity. They started with MSN and continued with free services like Outlook, and now they’re coming to your app store.

Microsoft already announced with the launch of the new store that developers could advertise their apps. Several months after the launch of the Microsoft Store, those in Redmond began testing this feature.

Advertising is coming to Windows 10 and Windows 11 Microsoft Store

The operation of these advertising placements follows in the footsteps of Apple App Store and the Google Play store. When performing a search, the Microsoft Store will show advertised apps first with the slogan “Announcement” in your file.

For the moment, the feature is in the testing phase and only developers who have previously published apps in the Microsoft Store can participate. In addition, they must complete a form to be invited to the test program.

Thereby, developers will be able to buy advertising via keywords to promote your candidacy. For example, Unigram could buy the term “Telegram” on the Microsoft Store to promote its application and encourage users to download this application instead of the Telegram Desktop client.

The feature started testing with Insiders in the Dev channel, starting with Build 25188. However, we’ll have to wait a few months before we see any announcements in the Windows 10 and Windows 11 app stores.
