Windows 11 and its center-aligned start menu are almost upon us, so Microsoft is kicking their ads into high gear. The last recruit of the great marketing campaign: Master Chief.
The video below leans quite heavily on the Xbox Game Pass and the upcoming Halo Infinite. A woman explores Windows 11, presses the Game Pass icon, and is taken to a mysterious desert.
There, a Covenant Banshee appears. Luckily, Master Chief arrives in a Warthog, jumps, and sends the Banshee to Hell with a rocket launcher.
In the explosion of pink color a screenshot of the user interface of Windows 11 takes place. His work finished, the chef jumps back into the warthog and starts up. Fingers crossed, this is a side quest in the Halo Infinite campaign.
The woman falls through the sand and pulls out a painting from the library ceiling that depicts the Chief and his fight against the Covenant. It looks a bit like the art of the Halo 3 box.
Later in the ad, the woman uses the Xbox app on her laptop. Halo Infinite is here, coming soon, alongside Psychonauts 2 and Age of Empires 4. Gaming!
Windows 11 is released on October 5. Are you going to realign the Start menu to the bottom left?
