Windows Server VNext Insider Preview build 25120 is now available

Microsoft has released a new version of Windows Server Insider Preview. This month’s build 25120 is now available for download as an ISO from the Windows Server Insider website along with a VHDX, but even though this uses the same underlying kernel as Windows 11 Sun Valley 3 development, as usual, there’s no changelog to speak of, so it’s unclear what’s new.

The Server brand has not yet been updated and remains Windows Server 2022 in preview. Additionally, Microsoft is asking Insiders to refer to these builds as vNext rather than Windows Server 2022 which is already in the market.

Windows 11 build 25120, which is the consumer development of Sun Valley 3, was also released today in the Windows Insider Dev Channel, possibly indicating that these editions will continue to sync.

This release does not contain release highlights or known issues.
