News Feed app is a Windows 10 Universal Windows Platform (UWP) RSS reader tool that focuses on aggregating different website content in one place, supporting thumbnail display and video playback.
This Windows 10 PC News app and other RSS content reader apps are a good way for many Windows 10 users to get various up-to-date information. As almost all websites provide RSS feeds, you just need to paste the RSS feed link or search for a particular website name on Newsflow to get started with news feeds.
1. Installing the Newsflow newsreader app is very easy on Windows 10 systems.
2. Simply go to the Windows 10 search bar and search for Microsoft Store, when it appears, click to open it.
3. Now on the Microsoft Store app on the top right there will be a search box, type News Feed and search for it. Alternatively, you can also use this link.
4. When the Newsflow app appears, click the Obtain button then install it.
5. Once the installation of this Windows 10 newsreader app is complete. It will appear in Windows 10 program list, go ahead and run it.
After getting Newsflow for free from Microsoft App Store, you can enjoy content from your favorite website just by searching for it.
When the Newsflow app opens, you will get a blank slate because you are not subscribed to anything yet. So, let’s add something. Click on the the Internet World icon given on the lower left side.
Click on the + icon given on the upper right side of the News Feed application.
A search box will appear on the news feed from where we can search for different news and other content related websites using the RSS link or site name. Also, if you are unsure about a website, just type in a related keyword that you want to acquire information about.
Here we will show both the RSS method and the keyword method.
If you want to subscribe to news or a blog, all you need to do is take the RSS feed link from that particular website, usually something like www.example.com/feed. Paste this RSS feed link into the search field and NewsFlow will find the website and its content for you.
Search by keyword
As I said above, you can search a website based on keywords. In the search corner, type the keyword related to what you are looking for information and its corresponding websites will open.
In addition, reading news from Google News and Bing may also be possible on Newsflow.
Newsflow has four reading modes:
- Listing
- small picture
- big picture
- One by one
Newsflow has both explicit and dark themes, supports automatic content syncing in the background, has favorites, reads later, displays article tags, and filters articles using tags.
To change the theme of the Newsflow, click on the settings gear icon given at the bottom left and under the settings tab, select Dark theme.
Newsflow is also able to automatically identify niche software tags, and click on each tag to filter again. moreover, it supports watching YouTube videos or HTML page, new content notifications, Animate elements, in-app backup/restore, importing and exporting OPML files, and deleting your streams at any time.
